Dr. Sharara says dozens of women stormed in as U.N. male investigators were asking for some of her female patients telephone numbers and private files. Police and witnesses say more than a dozen women waiting the clinic scuffled with U.N. men and chased them out of the building. U.N. said their men were investigating the killing of the former prime minister. Witnesses said the women pulled the hair of a U.N. males and grabbed their briefcases. The Hague-based court said in an e-mail that they are taking the incident seriously.
Hizbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said U.N. staff were actually Israeli spies. Whoever helps them is attacking Hezbollah. Nasrallah called on all Lebanese to boybott the U.N. team. Hassan Nasrallah described the U.N. tribunal as part of an Israeli plot against Hezbollah. He said he had been patient for months but now U.N. had crossed the red line. "I call on every Lebanese official and every citizen to boycott these investigators and not to co-operate with them. THey send all the information and data and addresses to Israel. From now on, any co-operation with the international investigators will be same as helping them to attack Lebanese resistance."
Police said more than 30 women stormed the building with 75 others outside. The crowd had been yelling curses and some took U.N. team's documents. Women then chased U.N. men out of Beirut clinic. U.N. team wanted phone numbers of female patients. Two women said they were forced to act after an Australian and a French national of U.N. team behaved immorally. Some women attacked the men. Lebanese army came and took away the two investigators to receive medical treatment after the incident.
Many Lebanese suspect that some U.N. investigators also serve as Israeli informants.
